132 Significant Business History Stream (Permanent)

In addition to the DIBP criteria, applicants seeking Queensland state nomination must meet the following criteria:

The applicant must make an investment of at least AUD$2.5 million in the proposed business for applicants intending to establish a business in Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
- The business must create at least five new employment positions.
OR
- AUD$1.5 million in the proposed business for applicants intending to establish a business in other regions of Queensland.
- The business must create at least three new employment positions.
Preference will be given to investments in businesses in the agribusiness, tourism infrastructure, resources, infrastructure and education and training sectors, particularly in regional Queensland.
Under this stream there are specific requirements for property development businesses. These applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have funds of at least AUD$5 million for transfer.
- If you intend to invest in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, you need to invest a minimum of AUD$4 million into the proposed business that will create significant economic benefit for Queensland and create or increase employment of five full-time sustainable positions.
- If you intend to invest in other regions of Queensland, you need to invest a minimum of AUD$2.5 million into the proposed business that will create significant economic benefit for Queensland and create or increase employment of three full-time sustainable positions.
- Preference will be given to investments in commercial residential or industrial property development in regional Queensland.
