Relax the 8107 & 8607 conditions for employees holding a 457 & 482 visa

We humbly request the Hon David Coleman to relax the 8107 and 8607 conditions for employees holding a subclass 457 and subclass 482 temporary employer-sponsored visa.

By relaxing these conditions, it will allow the employer to stand down the sponsored employees, the visa holders, for a maximum of six months and find alternative employment until they can resume their work as the impact of the COVID-19 eases.

We ask the minister to kindly reduce the SAFF levy as this will enable us, employers, to hire overseas workers without further financial burden.

The escalating response to the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus has affected many facets of employment-based immigration to Australia. If you believe the minister should do something to keep temporary workers in Australia, we ask you all to rise together and please sign this petition and let’s work together to save the Australian economy!
