The age limit for UK applicants has been extended. Starting from 1 July 2023, individuals can apply for a Working Holiday visa until the day before their 36th birthday.
Removal of ‘Specified Work’ Requirements:
Previously, applicants seeking a second or third Working Holiday visa had to demonstrate three or six months of ‘specified work.’
However, starting from 1 July 2024, UK passport holders will no longer be required to fulfill this work requirement for subsequent visa applications.
Maximum Stay of Three Years:
The current arrangement allows Working Holiday visa holders to stay in Australia for a total of three years, consisting of three separate 12-month visas. This duration remains unchanged, ensuring that UK passport holders can still enjoy extended stays in Australia.
Flexibility in Applying for Multiple Visas:
UK passport holders can now choose to apply for their first, second, and third Working Holiday visas at any time within the eligible age range. Applicants are not obligated to spend three consecutive years in Australia. They can submit applications for subsequent visas from within and outside Australia.
