Business Skilled Migration Queensland Subclass 491 and Subclass 190 visa pathways now open

The standard 491 and 190 program is currently OPEN from 1 February 2021 – 07 February 2021

Only onshore applicants, currently working in Queensland will be considered.

The next skilled opening after this week will be in April 2021. Please submit a BRAND NEW EOI if you meet the criteria and occupation/sector requirements below. 

 

The Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Subclass 491 visa (from 65 points and above)

 

Only onshore applicants working in Queensland will be considered for this visa. The Subclass 491 visa is open to COVID-19 critical skill or sectors as outlined by the Department of Home Affairs in:

  • Air Ambulance, Critical Medical, Medical Technology,
  • Engineering, Critical Infrastructure, Supply Chain
  • Telecommunications, Film & Television Production,
  • Maritime Industry, Agricultural Technology Food Technology,
  • Mining, Emerging Technology, Financial Technology, and
  • Large Scale Manufacturing.

 

491- SBO (Small Business Owner) Pathway

 

IMPORTANT: Applicants need to submit a 491-SBO Assessment Form prior to submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI), so that your EOI will be picked up.

 

190- Skilled Nominated (Permanent)

 

The Skilled Nominated (Permanent) Subclass 190 visa (from 80 points and above as a priority)

  • Only onshore applicants working in Queensland will be considered.

 

The Subclass 190 visa is open to the Department of Home Affairs Priority Skills Migration Occupation List (18 occupations in total). Applicants with 80 points and above will be considered as a priority. If applicants are below 80 points, they will be subject to quota places if available. You must also have been working for 6 months, and have a job offer from your employer for an additional 12 months in a nominated occupation.

PMSOL identifies 18 occupations which fill critical skills needs to support Australia’s economic recovery from COVID-19. The list is based on expert advice from the National Skills Commission and consultation with Commonwealth departments.

  • Registered Nurses nec (254499)
  • Developer Programmer (261312)
  • Software Engineer (261313)
  • Social Worker (272511)
  • Maintenance Planner (312911)

 

Employer sponsored nomination and visa applications with an occupation listed on the PMSOL will be given priority processing. All other skilled occupation lists will remail active, but the PMSOL occupations will take priority.

The Business Skilled Migration Queensland business program is OPEN.

 

Priority processing for:

  • 188 Innovation Stream
  • 132 Significant Business History Stream
  • 188 Significant Investor Stream
  • 188 Entrepreneur Stream
