Skilled Visa Updates – 24 Engineering occupations open to offshore applicants

South Australia added further 24 Engineering occupations for offshore applicants as part of their COVID recovery response.

 

Applicants must score minimum of 85 points for the Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491). Applicant must meet the minimum English requirement (Superior level) unless exempt and have 8 years work experience in the nominated occupation (or closely related). The above requirements must be met in addition to the Department of Home Affairs requirements, state-specific occupation requirements and be skilled in an occupation from the Skilled Occupation List. 

 

Registration of Interest (RoI) is now Open for the Offshore applicants who meet the requirements. 

The state nomination process is very competitive and even if the minimum requirements are satisfied there is no guarantee that an invitation will be received after lodging an RoI.
