The Asia-Pacific region signs the Tokyo Convention to improve business and education connections

The Tokyo Convention is an agreement between the countries in the Asia-Pacific region to recognise higher education qualifications for work and study purposes. This agreement not only strengthens the ties between Asia-Pacific countries but allows for more mobility for students and workers moving internationally between these countries. Japan and South Korea were the last to join the convention, allowing the agreement to come into effect on February 1st. Other countries are being encouraged to join the agreement to further grow the cultural ties between countries.
