VISA ASSESSMENT
|
Australia offers students an array of possibilities. There are several Student Visas available to persons interested in studying or training at an Australian educational institution. Some of the available Student Visas are:
REQUIREMENTS:In all cases you will need to provide a ‘Confirmation of Enrolment' (COE) from the Educational Institution you intend to study and evidence of Private Health Insurance. You must show that you have sufficient funds for your tuition fees and daily living expenses for the duration of your stay in Australia for the period of your Student Visa. Depending on what passport you hold and what Student Visa you apply for you will need to conform with the requirements specified in your ‘assessment level'. The higher the assessment level, the more evidence you will need to provide – such as English language abilities and financial capacity. You must continue to be enrolled in a full time registered course, attend at least 80% of your scheduled classes and obtain satisfactory results. As a holder of a Student Visa you can apply for work rights whereby you will be able to work a total of 20 hours per week. When you are not studying (ie. school holidays) you are eligible to work fulltime. If you want to come to Australia to improve your English language abilities in a breathtaking environment you can also come to Australia to undertake a Traineeship for a short term only or for a Work & Holiday adventure where you will be allowed to work for at up to 3 months with any employer. (Please note, working holiday and work & holiday visas are only offered to certain passport holders.) |
